My morning routine is like a system that helps set the tone for my day. This system consists of activities that have been tailored to your way of life, things you feel if done in the mornings, it will help make your day much better. Consistent morning boosts my personal growth and it can also boost yours in the following ways.

1. Increased Productivity

Having a system in place to guide me through the mornings is a really good way I kickstart my mornings. Starting my day this way helps me feel like I am in control leading me to feel more in charge of my life. Most of the time, I want to keep the ball rolling with my productivity. Personally, once I can start my day like this, I feel confident in handling the rest of my day. It makes me less afraid when random challenges pop up through the day (I see them as monsters or spirits I am equipped to fight)

2. Enhanced Mental Clarity

A system gives me a sense of purpose and direction promoting my mental clarity. There are practices in my morning routine that help give me clarity on my purpose for the day. One of these practices is reflecting on my notes (in my notes there are several lessons I learn from different situations I have been in). Doing this helps me reinforce these lessons in my day-to-day activities, hence the direction. These notes help me stay composed to an extent.

3. Improved Physical Health

While engaging in my morning routine, my body is always active. My routine involves activities that will make me move around (dancing/exercising/a walk). These activities that I do in the mornings boost my energy levels and I feel more fit during the day. I mostly dance while doing my morning routine, this tremendously boosts my mood because I feel so proud of myself for having the strength to do it making me battle ready for the day ahead.

4. Better Time Management

Developing a morning routine also developed my time management skills tremendously. During my morning routine, I practice time blocking. Time blocking to me is the act of setting a specific time (e.g. 30 minutes or 1 hour) to a particular task. By starting my day with time blocking, it encourages me to continue my day that way. With all my tasks for the day written down, I can estimate what time it will take me to complete each task and plan my day accordingly. This helps reduce my feelings of overwhelm.

5. Positive Mindset

Of course, when I feel like I have started my day right, I start my day with a positive mood to the point that tiny bumps at the start of the day don’t bother me too much. This good mood helps me make better decisions for myself. There are activities I do in the morning like reading my notes or listening to a powerful speech that help me feel excited for the day.

6. Consistent Self-Care

A morning routine is also a self-care routine. Whether it’s a skincare, a dance session, or reading my notes, dedicating time to myself in the morning makes me feel like I love myself. Being consistent with my morning routine is the ultimate self-care to me and consistent self-care leads to better mental health.

Conclusion

I want to end this by saying that having a morning routine was one of the best decisions I made in my life. My morning routine does not have to be the same everyday, I switch up from time to time. I will elaborate more on creating a morning routine in another post. I hope this motivates you to at least give it a try, trust me you will feel different in a good way.
